Missing Old Oyo National Park Ranger Found Dead in Tede Forest

A 40-year-old chief park ranger with Old Oyo National Park, Ajeiigbe Jacob, was found dead in a forest at Iyanla, Tede, Oyo State, after reportedly being missing for four days. Police said another ranger reported the discovery at the Tede Police Division on Friday, August 21, 2026. The body was reportedly found hanging from a tree with a rope around the neck. Officers visited and documented the scene before recovering the body. The family requested the release of the remains for burial, while police continue investigating the circumstances of the death.
