Five Killed as Diesel Tanker Crashes Into Commercial Vehicles in Ibadan
Five people have died after a fully loaded 45,000-litre diesel tanker crashed into commercial vehicles at Aduloju Bus Stop on the Iwo Road–Ojoo Expressway in Ibadan. Emergency responders said the victims were two men, including a commercial driver, and three female passengers. Preliminary findings indicate that the tanker suffered brake failure, causing the driver to lose control and crush several Nissan Micra commercial cars. Police, the Federal Road Safety Corps and Oyo State traffic officers secured the scene, rescued trapped passengers and cleared the wreckage. The bodies of the victims were taken to the Adeoyo Hospital mortuary.
