Multiple Dead After Police Vehicle Collision in Northeast England
Several people have died after a collision involving a police vehicle and a Volkswagen Passat on the A66 at South Bank, near Middlesbrough in northeast England. Cleveland Police said the crash happened around 3:39am on Saturday. The exact number of deaths has not been released as officers work to identify the victims and inform their families. Emergency services deployed 14 resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a specialist paramedic team and an air ambulance doctor. The A66 has been closed in both directions while investigators examine the crash.
