CBN Review Delays Access Holdings and Fidelity Bank Half-Year Results
Access Holdings and Fidelity Bank have yet to release their audited half-year 2026 results as the Central Bank of Nigeria intensifies its review of lenders’ asset quality, loan-loss provisions and foreign-exchange exposure. Both banks say their accounts for the six months ended June 30 are awaiting regulatory approval. The delay leaves investors trading on financial information that is more than six months old, while several major peers have already published their half-year results. Access recorded a sharp rise in credit impairment charges in the first quarter, while Fidelity reported lower profit despite higher gross earnings. Neither bank has announced a new publication date, and there is no public confirmation that either lender needs to raise additional capital.
