Kogi Unveils Lubricant Factory as Firm Targets 1,300 Jobs
Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo has inaugurated the Confluence Lube lubricant blending and packaging factory in Lokoja. The facility, owned by Godec Power Nigeria Ltd., produces engine oils, transmission oils and plastic containers. The company said it has created 100 direct jobs and more than 200 indirect jobs. It plans to expand to over 300 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs when the factory reaches full capacity. Ododo said the state would continue to support investors who process products locally and create jobs. He announced a three-year waiver on selected state levies for the company, including land use, environmental, fire service and business-premises charges. The company also plans to add hydraulic oil, brake fluid, transformer oil and grease to its product range.
