ADC Questions Oyedele’s Approach to Fuel Subsidy Debate
The African Democratic Congress has questioned Taiwo Oyedele’s perspective on Nigeria’s fuel subsidy policy, arguing that the issue requires ideological and economic analysis beyond accounting expertise. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, made the remarks while discussing the Federal Government’s proposed 30-day petrol discount by NNPCL. He said Oyedele was intelligent but viewed the economy from a different professional standpoint. The proposed price reduction has renewed debate over whether it represents a return to fuel subsidy after the Tinubu administration removed the policy.
