Tinubu Accuses Oil Subsidy and FX Cabals of Wishing Him Dead Over Reforms
President Tinubu told NADECO stakeholders in Lagos that powerful groups linked to oil subsidy and foreign exchange practices wanted him dead. He delivered the message through former Ogun State governor Olusegun Osoba. He said removing the fuel subsidy and unifying the exchange rate had angered those who profited from round-tripping and arbitrage. He warned that these cabals were also resisting his broader economic restructuring efforts. Despite alleged threats to his life and attempts to destabilise Nigeria, Tinubu said he remains determined to push on with reforms. He added that more political and structural changes would follow if he secures a second term.
