The family of Celeste Rivas Hernandez says it would support the death penalty for singer D4vd if he is convicted over the death of the 14-year-old. D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, has pleaded not guilty to murder, child sexual abuse and mutilation-related charges. Prosecutors allege the offences are connected to Rivas Hernandez’s death in April 2025. The family said the decision on pursuing the death penalty rests with Los Angeles County authorities. The development follows the withdrawal of D4vd’s former lawyers, after which the county public defender’s office took over his defence.
