Ndume Says He Avoids Tinubu’s Cap Because Loyalty Should Not Be Performative

Senator Ali Ndume says he does not wear President Bola Tinubu’s signature cap because genuine loyalty should not be reduced to public displays. Speaking on a television programme, the Borno South senator criticised APC politicians who publicly show support for Tinubu but allegedly work against him behind the scenes. He described such conduct as hypocrisy. Ndume said the APC’s biggest problems come from within the party. He accused some members of putting personal interests ahead of promoting the party and its leadership as political activities build towards the 2027 elections.
