Two Arrested for Allegedly Vandalising Solar Street Lights in Jos East

Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN have arrested two men suspected of vandalising government-installed solar street lights in Babawo village, Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State. The suspects, aged 22 and 27, were reportedly apprehended at about 4:20 p.m. on August 7, 2026, during a patrol by Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12 troops. They were handed over to the Keystone Outpost in Babawo for investigation. Authorities are expected to determine whether they are connected to other incidents of infrastructure vandalism in the area.
