Apapa Customs Records ₦323 Billion Revenue in July, Sets New Monthly Record

The Nigeria Customs Service, Apapa Area Command, says it collected ₦323 billion in July 2026, its highest monthly revenue figure to date. The Command previously recorded ₦304 billion in October 2025. Customs Area Controller Emmanuel Oshoba attributed the result to operational reforms, better compliance, intelligence-led enforcement and relative stability in the foreign exchange market. He said improvements to the B’Odogwu platform, the One-Stop Shop initiative and the Authorised Economic Operator framework have helped speed up cargo processing and support legitimate trade. Oshoba urged officers to sustain transparency, discipline and proper documentation while resolving cargo-related disputes promptly. He also called for stronger cooperation with importers, other agencies and stakeholders to protect government revenue and improve the business environment.
