Ogun EXCO Approves Road Projects, Two General Hospitals and MSME Agency
The Ogun State Executive Council has approved road reconstructions, two new general hospitals, a state enterprise development agency and participation in power generation through Gateway Power Limited. The road approvals cover the 4.87km Siun Junction–Iperu Junction Road linking Obafemi Owode and Ikenne, the 4.87km Simawa–Lukosi/Ogijo Road in Sagamu, and variations on the Sango–Ota–Ijoko–Agbado–Oke-Aro–Akute Road and the 69.2km Abeokuta–Abule Egba Road. New general hospitals are to be built in Itori, Ewekoro LGA, and Aiyepe, Odogbolu LGA. The proposed Ogun State Enterprise Development Agency is expected to coordinate support for MSMEs, while the power initiative is intended to improve electricity supply for the state’s industrial and commercial areas. The Council also approved the appointment of Otunba Osunsina Olumide John as the new Olu of Ifo.
