Man Says Facebook Love Interest Disappeared After He Sent Her Money
A Nigerian man says a woman he met on Facebook stopped responding after he sent her money for food, ulcer medication and ingredients for a planned visit. He said they had spoken for about a week when she told him she had not eaten because of stomach ulcer. After sending her ₦2,000 for food and ₦3,000 for medication, he said she offered to visit, cook and spend time with him. He later sent money for ingredients, but claimed she began giving excuses about her phone before becoming unreachable. He said he was more hurt by his emotional investment than by the money. The claims have not been independently verified.
