Celine Dion Returns to the Stage With First Full Concert in Six Years

Celine Dion has performed her first full concert in six years, making an emotional return to the stage in Paris after living with stiff-person syndrome. The Canadian singer opened the show at Plenitude Arena in Nanterre with her French-language ballad, “On ne change pas.” The crowd of about 30,000 fans chanted her name as she became visibly emotional. Dion said her recovery journey had been tougher and longer than she expected. The concert begins a 26-show Paris run, including 16 sold-out dates in September and October and 10 more shows planned for May.
