I think a major challenge in Nigeria’s dating scene is that many women prefer financially successful men, while relatively few men fall into that category. This can create intense competition for the same group of men. When a man becomes financially stable, he may receive attention from many women and struggle to commit because he has several options. Meanwhile, women who focus only on wealthy partners may face repeated disappointment when those men choose someone else. However, love, compatibility, character and shared goals should matter alongside money. Financial stability is important, but it should not be the only basis for choosing a partner.
