When Palm Sunday Became Tragedy in Jos: A Call to Our Conscience

When Palm Sunday Became Tragedy in Jos: A Call to Our Conscience — 1 of 3
1 / 3

I watched a video from Jos on Palm Sunday. A day meant for peace became a scene of horror. Families cried instead of sang hymns. A mother held her lifeless son. The child she nurtured through sleepless nights was gone in an instant. Violence stole his future and left a wound that words cannot heal. Meanwhile, the President was marking his 74th birthday. The timing felt deeply wrong. It exposed a painful gap between the corridors of power and the cries of ordinary people. I wonder where our outrage has gone. Why do we ignore tragedy when it does not serve a political cause? A nation that forgets its citizens in pain is slowly losing its soul.
