Why Does Corruption Remain Normalised in Nigeria?
Corruption is not only about public officials. It also grows when people accept dishonesty, favouritism and shortcuts as normal ways to survive or get ahead. Political decisions affect our roads, schools, jobs, cost of living and access to opportunity. But citizens must also ask whether we can demand accountability from leaders while excusing wrongdoing when it benefits us personally. What keeps corruption alive in Nigeria most: poor leadership, weak institutions, poverty, cultural attitudes, or the lack of consequences? What can citizens do differently to build better standards for the next generation?
