I Saw Different Interview Styles in BBC Africa’s Chats With Obi and Atiku
I watched both interviews and felt the interviewer used noticeably different approaches. During Peter Obi’s interview, she asked repeated follow-up questions, challenged earlier statements and pressed him to explain his plans. In Atiku Abubakar’s interview, I found the tone calmer and less probing. When he discussed reversing the fuel subsidy, I expected more questions about how the policy would be funded and implemented. I enjoyed the scrutiny in Obi’s interview, but I believe every presidential candidate should face the same level of follow-up and accountability. The comparison raises questions about consistency in political interviews.
