The LNG plant is planned to be situated within the vicinity of Ibom Industrial City, Ibom Deep Seaport, and Liberty Free Trade Zone.

Dr. Jonathan is leading a delegation from Preheat Energies, which aims to establish the gas plant, recognizing the imperative of addressing climate change by transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources globally.

Describing Akwa Ibom as a region of promise and tranquility, the former President highlighted its potential as the optimal location for the project. He expressed confidence in Governor Umo Eno's ability to oversee the project to fruition.
