Anambra Billionaires Grace Zobis Cable CEO Sister's Wedding At Nnewi

> No fewer than 19 wedding guests died and 11 others were injured in a road accident in the Kwana Maciji area of Pankshin Local Government Area, Plateau State.

The Chairman of the Pankshin Local Government Area Emergency Management Committee, John Dasar, confirmed the incident.

Dasar said the guests, who came from Kano State to attend a wedding in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, were returning home when the accident occurred.

He added that as the travelers were being helped out of the affected vehicle, it caught fire, burning the 19 people who had not yet been evacuated.

He said, “The accident happened on Saturday. The people were from Kano; they came for a wedding ceremony in Barkin Ladi. They were returning home and were passing through Gindiri to Bauchi, which is a shorter route.

“The driver and a few others survived, but 19 of them were burnt beyond recognition. When the accident happened, the people were being helped out of the vehicle when it caught fire and trapped the deceased,” he said.

Dasar further stated that the survivors were rushed to the Pankshin General Hospital.

Road Crash Kills 19 Wedding Guests In Plateau

At least five persons were reportedly abducted by gunmen on Saturday at Obbo-Ayegunle in Ekiti LGA of Kwara State.

The victims were returning to their Odo-Owa base from a marriage ceremony held at Ope town in neighbouring Kogi State when they were abducted at about 4pm.

They include Oloye Oyewole Abolarin, the head of hunters in Odo-Owa, and his wife, Funmilayo Abolarin, Tunde Oladipo and his wife, and one other person identified as Bose, all of Agbele Igbede compound in Odo-Owa community.

The abductors have reached out to the family demanding a N100m ransom for their release.

According to reports, family members and the community have started contributions towards meeting the demand of the kidnappers.

They have also appealed to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and security agencies to come to the rescue of the family.

An unconfirmed report indicated that another kidnap incident occurred on Monday along Omu-Aran highway.

Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the state police command headquarters, in Ilorin, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, on Tuesday, were not successful as phone calls and a text message sent to her were not responded till the time of filing this report.

Wedding Guests Abducted On Kwara Highway

Hello everyone, just want an advice for a friend of mine.
He resides outside of the country and his fiancée lives in Nigeria. They are to be married at some point this year.

Some background info:
The man in question lost his father at a young age and was helped by his uncle…so his uncle is his father figure.
Prior to making wedding plans he stated that he does not want a big wedding just traditional and church wedding (give food and souvenir after service) but his uncle and his wife said no, they do not want that. He went along with the plan, about 3months later He and his fiancée had a vision which they relate to family (think it is a message concerning the wedding) but the uncle family downplayed it until 3weeks later a message come from a man of God that they should opt for a small wedding (no reception).
Long story short, the uncle family blew up complaining of the gifts they have spent money on. Pple invited and pple that have bought clothes for without putting into view/context how much the couple have also spent in reserving vendors, MC, book hotels and event place.
And now they both said they are not coming for the wedding and the groom wants his uncle to be there as a father figure.
Is it wrong for the groom to go ahead with the wedding no reception as instructed? Matt 7:26 says “ But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand”.

I’m in a bit of a dilemma and need your advice.

My wedding is coming up soon, and I’ve already done the introduction and paid all traditional rites in full. Recently, I got admitted into a PhD program in the U.S. with full funding and stipends to begin fall this year, and I plan to move there with my wife or for her to join me after I settle in the U.S.
