Iran Vows to Destroy Middle East Infrastructure If U.S. Strikes Its Assets
Iran has warned that any American attack on its domestic infrastructure will trigger a full-scale retaliation across the Middle East. The threat comes from Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, in statements carried by state media. Zolfaghari stressed that the Strait of Hormuz is an “unbreakable red line” and accused the U.S. of being an extra-regional power with no right to interfere. He promised a “superior blow” that would be more severe and widespread than any previous response. These warnings escalate tensions over maritime control in the region. They follow a memorandum of understanding brokered by a third party in an effort to defuse recent clashes, but both sides have so far continued to exchange military strikes.
