Are You Still Asking God for What Christ Has Already Accomplished?
Many Christians pray for healing, deliverance, provision and blessings without first considering what God has already accomplished through Christ Jesus. The message of the cross is not that redemption is still in progress. Christ declared, “It is finished,” and believers are called to understand the meaning of that finished work. Prayer remains essential. Christians are encouraged to pray, intercede, worship, give thanks and make requests. However, faith is not about persuading God to become willing. It is about discovering His will in Scripture and responding with confidence to what He has revealed and provided. Instead of approaching every situation only with, “God, please do something,” believers can ask what God has already said about it. Through Scripture, thanksgiving and faith-filled action, we can learn to receive and live in the reality of what Christ has already accomplished.
