Team Nigeria Intensifies Preparations for Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games

Nigeria is stepping up preparations for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, which will run from October 31 to November 13 in Senegal. About 2,700 athletes aged 17 and under are expected to compete across 25 sports. Events will take place in Dakar, Diamniadio and Saly. The National Sports Commission says the Games will give young Nigerian athletes valuable international exposure and support the country’s long-term plan to develop future Olympians. Dakar 2026 will also be the first Olympic sporting event hosted in Africa.
