A Prayer for Healing a Wounded Heart

Jesus, enter my wounded heart and meet the pain that has grown into anger, pride and resentment. Cover me with Your mercy, love and forgiveness as I begin the difficult journey of healing. I trust that You will heal me gently and give me the strength to face the dark places in my heart. Remove despair, doubt and shame, and fill me with hope, peace and the warmth of Your love. Mary, Mother of Jesus, pray for me and lead me closer to Christ. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. Amen.
