Cardiff’s Krystian Bielik Faces Possible Ban After Clash With Young Portsmouth Fan
Cardiff City midfielder Krystian Bielik was involved in a confrontation with a young Portsmouth supporter during their Championship match at Fratton Park. The incident happened in the 70th minute as Bielik tried to retrieve the ball for a quick throw-in. After the fan threw the ball over him, Bielik appeared to reach into the stands and grab the supporter by the neck. The fan then pushed him away and slapped him. Play was paused for about three minutes as the referee and security restored order. The fan, his family and another supporter who allegedly threw a ball at Cardiff defender Perry Ng were removed from the stadium. Bielik, who had already been booked, received no further card but could face retrospective action from the Football Association. Portsmouth won the match 2-0.
