Faleke Denies Davido’s Claim of Pressuring INEC in Osun Election
Ikeja federal lawmaker James Faleke has denied Davido’s allegation that he pressured the Independent National Electoral Commission to alter the outcome of the Osun governorship election. Davido made the allegation during result collation in Osogbo, urging Faleke to respect the wishes of Osun voters. The singer said he did not want the election result changed in favour of the APC. Faleke said he was in Osun only to support the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, while Davido supported his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and the Accord Party. He insisted that neither he nor anyone else could influence INEC, telling the singer to “face your music” while politicians faced politics.
