Oliseh Says Mikel Snubbed London Meeting During His Super Eagles Tenure

Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh says John Obi Mikel failed to attend a meeting he arranged in London while he was in charge of the national team. Oliseh said he travelled from Belgium at his own expense and invited Mikel and Victor Moses for talks ahead of international fixtures. He said Moses attended and openly discussed problems within the squad, while Mikel neither came nor replied to his messages. The former coach described the incident as one of the biggest insults he faced in the role. He also said he regrets ignoring the NFF's earlier concerns about Mikel, Vincent Enyeama and Emmanuel Emenike, whom officials believed were causing internal tension.
