Anambra Security Operatives Kill Three Gunmen Behind Attack on Soludo’s Chief of Staff Convoy
Agunechemba operatives, working with the police, carried out a late-night operation in Aguata LGA on June 23. Three suspected gunmen were neutralised and their hideout dismantled without any casualties to security forces. Intelligence linked the suspects to the June 2 ambush on Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s chief of staff convoy, which left two police officers and two civilians dead. The team recovered an RPG launcher, AK-47 rifles, a white Hilux van and other incriminating items. State security officials described the operation as a major breakthrough in curbing armed robbery, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the Anambra South Senatorial District.
