The Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) has imposed a five-year ban on Barr. Iyke Igbokwe. He is barred from all football-related activities in the state, effective immediately. The decision was announced in a letter dated 19 July 2025 and signed by Chairman Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi.

The Disciplinary Committee found Igbokwe’s allegations against FA Secretary Mr. Ralph Nweke unsubstantiated. He also failed to appear before the panel and launched verbal attacks on FA officials. These actions were deemed unethical and in breach of football administration principles.

Igbokwe is warned to steer clear of all stadiums and officially recognized football venues in Anambra State. Further non-compliance may attract sanctions or legal action. Copies of the ban were sent to the Commissioner of Police, the NFF Secretary, the Anambra Sports Development Commission, and the DPO at Nnewi Police Station.
