No Real Parties in Nigeria, Just Prodigal Politicians Fighting for the Treasury

We see no real political parties in Nigeria. Only prodigal politicians battling to empty the national treasury. When leaders flaunt wealth they did not earn, communities emulate them. Many now chase quick riches by any means. Ethnic rivalry distracts voters and keeps the powerful in charge while qualified minorities are ignored. Billions have been looted at home and abroad. Recovered funds risk being stolen again before they can help citizens. We wonder when the people will have enough and rise up. A classic 1970s documentary noted that denying education keeps people powerless. Today, few question the source of lavish spending. Reporting suspicious wealth has become almost taboo.

It's surprising how ethnic rivalry and hollow party labels distract voters more than actual policy or leadership integrity.

I don't believe all politicians are just chasing treasury funds, some genuinely think they can deliver real progress.

Voters should focus on candidates' proven track records and community projects rather than empty campaign slogans or flashy lifestyles.
