I noticed the Oyo school children were freed on the same day the APC’s co-flagbearer for the 2027 presidential ticket was officially announced. Could the kidnappers have aimed to pressure the president after suggestions he might drop his vice? The killing of teachers and the timing make me wonder if politics played a role. It may just be a coincidence, but it’s hard not to ask the question. I appreciate the president and security agencies for securing the children’s release and pray we never face such tragedy again.
