Kano Emir Sanusi Urges Nigerians: Security and Economic Challenges Are Surmountable
During the Eid Sallah durbar in Kano, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II assured Nigerians that security and economic challenges are surmountable with collective effort. He urged leaders to deliver justice and followers to support them. Leading prayers at the Kano Central Eid ground, he reminded Muslims to offer sacrificial rams and extend help to the needy. He also called for respect for national laws, a stronger focus on education, and prioritising the upbringing of children. The emir appealed for continued support for security personnel in their fight against insecurity. He stressed that true change must start with individuals returning to the Almighty and avoiding actions that draw divine wrath. For the first time since his dispute with his predecessor, Sanusi will host major Sallah durbars across Kano, including Hawan Nassarawa and Hawan Dorayi, showcasing the emirate’s rich cultural heritage.
