Don’t Let Past Rejection Stop Your Present Purpose
Jephthah’s story shows that rejection does not have to determine your future. Driven from his father’s home by his half-brothers, he was later called back by the elders of Gilead to lead Israel against the Ammonites. His opportunity came through a crisis and not on his preferred terms. Yet, rather than allowing bitterness to control him, Jephthah accepted the assignment before him. He first sought peace through dialogue and turned to battle only after diplomacy failed. Past rejection may make it difficult to embrace a present calling. Do not allow old wounds to disqualify you from the purpose ahead. Ask God for healing, release bitterness, and move forward with courage into the work set before you.
