Lekki Deep Sea Port Ownership: PPP Structure and Shareholding Breakdown
Lekki Deep Sea Port was developed under a public-private partnership involving private investors and Nigerian government entities. Lekki Port Investment Holding Inc. holds 75% through Lekki Port LFTZ Enterprise Limited. China Harbour Engineering Company holds 52.5%, while Tolaram Group holds 22.5%. Lagos State Government holds 20%, and the Nigerian Ports Authority holds the remaining 5% for the Federal Government. The port operates under a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer concession. Lekki Port LFTZ Enterprise Limited is to manage it for 45 years before ownership transfers to the government.
