Does Marriage End Romance, or Deepen Real Love?

Romance can feel effortless before marriage. Dates, long calls and thoughtful messages happen when two people are mainly enjoying each other’s best moments. Marriage introduces the fuller reality of life: bills, work, children, family pressures and everyday responsibilities. That does not mean love has disappeared. In a healthy marriage, romance can mature into patience, faithfulness, sacrifice, forgiveness and the deliberate choice to keep showing up for each other. Love becomes more than excitement; it becomes commitment through difficult seasons. However, marriage can feel like an administrative partnership when couples stop making effort. Compliments, affection, meaningful conversations, dates and private moments still matter. Being married should not make partners stop courting, appreciating and choosing each other. Do you think marriage kills romance, or can it be where a deeper and more enduring love begins?
