I pity children who are brought into hardship without a clear plan for their care. Raising children in Nigeria is expensive, and parents should consider school fees, food, healthcare and other daily needs before expanding their family. Having children is not compulsory. Times have changed, and many families can no longer rely on relatives or neighbours for financial support. Even parents who already have one child and are struggling should think carefully before having another. Children should not be made to suffer because their parents were unprepared. Every child deserves proper care, safety and a real chance at a better future.
