Three Feared Dead After Cultists Storm Oreta Community in Ikorodu

Three people, including a 22-year-old resident, were killed when suspected cultists attacked Oreta community in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The violence erupted around 8 p.m. on Wednesday when armed men on motorcycles began shooting indiscriminately. The incident may be linked to an earlier clash between a trailer driver and a group of youths demanding payment along Gbogbo Road. A resident said one of the local boys died under a trailer tyre during the afternoon confrontation. Six suspects have been arrested. The Divisional Police Officer handling the case assured the family of a thorough investigation. Residents are living in fear as shops remain closed and many households have fled. Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Command for comment were unsuccessful.
