Omisore Sues APC Over Osun Guber Primary Disqualification
Senator Iyiola Omisore has dragged the All Progressives Congress to the Federal High Court in Osogbo. He challenges his disqualification from the Osun State governorship primary held on December 13, 2025. Omisore and six other aspirants were barred for failing to provide proof of sponsorship from five registered party members in each local government area. He accuses Minister Gboyega Oyetola of pressuring the screening panel to favour Bola Oyebamiji. He describes the committee report as “the most ridiculous report of this year” and says no one saw the official findings. Sources say the rift between Omisore and Oyetola has deepened since the primaries. Meanwhile, APC leaders in Ife Federal Constituency condemned the imposition of deputy governorship candidate Kayode Adereti. Attempts to reach Omisore for comment were unsuccessful.
