How to Overcome Hatred Without Letting Hurt Define You
Being hurt by someone does not mean you must let hatred take root. The Bible warns that hatred damages relationships, steals peace and harms your walk with God. You can acknowledge your pain, set healthy boundaries and seek healing without turning to revenge. Bring your hurt to God, refuse to keep replaying the offence, and choose forgiveness. Forgiving someone does not mean excusing wrongdoing or immediately trusting them again. Pray for those who have hurt you and ask the Holy Spirit to help you respond with love, patience and self-control. Christ showed us love even when we were still sinners. Your wounds do not have to define you. Let God heal your heart and guide you towards peace. Father, remove hatred, bitterness and the desire for revenge from my heart. Heal my wounds and help me forgive while keeping wise boundaries. Let the love of Christ guide my relationships. Amen.
