A Prayer for Protection and Comfort for People Living With Dementia

Heavenly Father, look with mercy on everyone living with dementia. Though they may no longer recognise the family and friends who love them, may Your Holy Spirit bring peace and comfort to their hearts. Please protect those affected by this difficult illness. Minister to their emotional and spiritual needs, and give strength, patience and grace to the relatives and caregivers supporting them. Comfort everyone who feels separated from a loved one by dementia. Remind them that Your grace is sufficient. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
