Mangut Laments Missed Chances as Nasarawa United Lose 3-1 to Barau FC
Nasarawa United began their 2026/27 NPFL campaign with a 3-1 away defeat to Barau FC at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. Joseph Atule gave Barau FC the lead in the 15th minute, but Abubakar Abdullahi equalised five minutes later after a pass from Mohammed Umar. The contest remained level until late goals from Al’Amin Umar and Suga Aliyu sealed the win for the home side. Nasarawa United coach Mbwas Mangut said his team created several chances and deserved more from the match. He said the players would review their errors and regroup ahead of Sunday’s home fixture against Bendel Insurance.
