Police Arrest Five Suspected Robbery Gang Members in Yola’s Kofare Community
The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested five young men suspected of terrorising residents of Kofare community in Yola South Local Government Area with robbery attacks. Police said the suspects, aged 18 to 23, were arrested in the early hours of September 1 after intelligence was received over a recent robbery around the Kofare Masallaci Biyu axis. The operation was carried out by a tactical team from the Kofare Divisional Police Headquarters, with support from community members. Five cutlasses allegedly linked to the attacks were recovered. Police said investigations are continuing to determine the suspects’ involvement in other reported criminal activities.
