Lagos CP Urges Ikorodu Residents to Report Cultism and Crime
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani, has urged Ikorodu residents to report cultism, violence and other suspicious activities, saying community security cannot be left to the police alone. At a security town-hall meeting with traditional rulers, religious leaders, market associations, transport unions and youth representatives, Tijani said many suspected criminals are known within their communities. He called on parents and community leaders to prevent young people from being drawn into cult-related violence and drug abuse. Stakeholders requested more police patrols around markets and stronger collaboration with agencies such as the NDLEA. They also pledged to provide credible information and work with security agencies to improve safety across Ikorodu.
