Police in Anambra State have arrested a woman accused of severely assaulting her 10-year-old house help in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area. Residents reportedly rushed to the home after hearing the girl cry for help. A video shared online showed people intervening as the child, who is from Enugu State, was brought out with visible injuries. The girl was taken for medical treatment and has reportedly been placed in the care of the Anambra State Government. The case is under investigation.
