Pad Me A Girl Empowerment Foundation has donated sanitary pads, menstrual-hygiene pamphlets, exercise books and pens to more than 100 girls at Igbesa High School (Junior) in Ado-Odo/Ota, Ogun State. The outreach included menstrual-health education, reading activities and mentorship for JSS 1 to JSS 3 students. A student drama also addressed the risks of child marriage and encouraged girls to value their education and rights. Teachers said the support would improve the girls’ confidence, hygiene and school attendance. The foundation called for more support for efforts tackling period poverty and helping girls stay in school.
