Dangote Begins Work on Multi-Billion-Dollar Olokola Deep-Sea Port in Ogun

Dangote Industries has started preparatory work for a multi-billion-dollar deep-sea port at the Olokola Free Trade Zone in Ogun State. A team led by Jamil Abubakar, Managing Director of Infrastructure and Logistics, met with host communities in Ogun and Ondo to begin stakeholder consultations. The port will span over 10,000 hectares along the Atlantic coastline from Ogun Waterside to Ilaje in Ondo State. It aims to boost Nigeria’s maritime trade, ease pressure on existing harbours, and serve as a logistics gateway for exports and imports under the company’s Vision 2030 plan. According to Mr Abubakar, the project will strengthen trade, support industrial growth, and unlock new economic opportunities for the region.
