Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool are not yet ready to challenge for the Premier League title following Mohamed Salah’s departure. He says the club need two defenders and a top right-sided attacker before they can compete seriously. The former Liverpool defender questioned the reported pursuit of PSG winger Bradley Barcola, arguing that Liverpool’s more urgent need is on the right flank. He said the Reds have not adequately replaced Salah. Carragher named Arsenal and Manchester City as his current favourites for the title. He tipped City to finish top under new manager Enzo Maresca, but said that prediction could change if Rodri leaves for Real Madrid.
