NSCDC Arrests Three Over Alleged NNPC Pipeline Vandalism in Abuja

The NSCDC FCT Command has arrested three suspects over the alleged vandalism of an NNPC petroleum pipeline in Dafa, Kwali Area Council, Abuja. Officials said intelligence-led surveillance followed reports of illegal activity along the pipeline corridor. The suspects were allegedly arrested on September 20 after returning to recover pipe sections that had been abandoned at the scene. A truck and 17 pieces of vandalised pipeline were recovered. The command said the pipeline supplies crude oil and petroleum products to the Kaduna Refinery and NNPC depots, while four other suspects linked to the alleged operation remain at large. NSCDC said it is investigating those suspected of funding the network, warning that pipeline vandalism can cause major economic losses, pollution and explosions.
