Pastor Who Missed 2025 Rapture Prediction Sets New Date for October 2026
South African pastor Joshua Mhlakela, whose prediction that the Rapture would occur on September 23, 2025 did not happen, has announced a new date. He now claims it will take place between October 12 and 13, 2026. Mhlakela said he revised his calculation after concluding that the biblical Feast of Trumpets fell in October rather than September. He also cited further visions, including one involving two full moons, as part of the reason for the change. His earlier prediction reportedly led some followers to sell property, leave their jobs and gather in expectation. Other Christian leaders have criticised the latest claim, arguing that setting a date for Jesus Christ's return conflicts with biblical teaching.
