Oyo School Principal Pleads for Rescue as Students Remain Hostage
The principal of Community High School in Esiele, Oyo State, has appealed urgently for help after armed gunmen abducted her, other staff and pupils from two local schools. The attack on Friday claimed the life of one teacher and saw the principal, two vice principals, three teachers and several students taken captive. In a distress video, Mrs. Alamu begged the Federal and State governments, the Christian Association of Nigeria and concerned Nigerians to secure their swift release. Security agencies say they have sealed escape routes around the National Park and launched coordinated patrols involving the Army, Civil Defence Rangers, Amotekun and local hunters. Authorities continue to search for the captives and verify the exact number of missing students.
